Good day goddesses of the world!
So, for YEARS I have been searching for the right kind of purple contact lenses. Ever since I was 12 years old, I remember seeing my brother's friend with purple lenses. And from that day forward, I knew I HAD to get myself a pair of purple contacts. But at that time I didn't need glasses and plus, I was only 12. lol
I have seen regular colour contact lenses everywhere. But not so many purple ones that I LOVE...until now! I have finally hit the jackpot! I found these awesomely gorgeous circle lenses in my favourite colour, PURPLE. And I just HAD to share them with you. These are the GEO Angel series circle lenses in purple. I just love them!
Circle Lens Vial & Info:
LOT represents the product Batch Code.
Hour glass image represents the expiry date: 2013/12 (December 2013). They say these lenses can be stored in their vials for up to 2 years prior to opening. Once opened, you can use them for up to 1 year. If properly taken care of.
B.C represents the Base Curve of the contact lens, which in this case is: 8.60.
DIA represents the Diameter size of the contact, this is the complete size of the contact lens that will cover your eye. This contact is 14.0mm which is more of a normal size contact. My regular, no colour lenses are a 14.0mm DIA as well. So these circle lenses I got, are no different from my regular everyday wear lenses in size. There are other circle lenses that can go up to a DIA size of 15.0 mm. This look enhances the size of your iris A LOT more. People call it the "Dolly look" effect. But, if you do go this large. You have to remember, the larger the DIA, the more the contact covers your eye. And that means there is less oxygen access for your eye. And this can lead to eye problems. So if you do go bigger on the diameter. Please remember to wear with care! ;) Don't try and wear them for longer then 8 hours, if you don't have to. I only wear these lenses for special occasions. They are not an everyday use contact for me.
Soft Contact Lens
Water Content: 38%
Comfort Level out of 10: 9 - reason being, my base curve is 8.7. They are to fit people with a base curve between 8.4-8.8. But I personally felt, that I would feel the need to blink a little more, then when I have my regular colourless lenses in. But still, these are great circle lenses. I know I will be purchasing more GEO Medical circle lenses in the near future. n_n
Before putting in your new circle lenses. I know its very exciting when you first receive them. But you have to always remember; after you take the new lens out of the vial. You have to place it in a new contact lens case, with clean contact solution. Let it soak for a minimum of 6-8 hours. I personally soak mine for 24 hours. Just to be safe. I find soaking them over night is best, cause you sleep through 1/3 of the waiting time. If you are like me and soak it for 24 hours. But I know for some of you, who can't wait to try them on for the first time. Try and wait AT LEAST 6 hours, prior to putting them in. Cause the solution in that vial will sting the eyes, if not properly soaked. Do it over night, so it won't seem like an eternity. ;) Cause then at least, it doesn't really feel like you had to do any waiting. Cause you were sleeping!

The solution I use, is the "Alcon Opti-Free Replenish" contact solution. Which you can find at any local pharmacy. I think its a great product, cause it's a multi-purpose disinfecting solution for your contacts. It does all the cleaning work for you. ;) I always get the twin pack.

Even though I do LOVE these circle lenses. I do strongly recommend & advise you, especially if you do not wear or need to wear contact lenses. Please consult your eye doctor prior to purchasing circle lenses. You are gifted with only one set of eyes. So please, do not take them for granted. Do your research, and look into the risks about wearing circle lenses. And how to take care of them properly. My lenses are perception lenses. I have been wearing contact lenses for just under 10 years now. So I am familiar with how to properly use and take care of them. The risks & the what to do and what not to do.
Before I purchased my very first regular soft contact lenses I went to see my eye doctor about information on wearing them. Take care of these beauties, because if you don't, you might not be gifted with the sight of seeing all things that are beautiful. ;)
